Bimetal Alu. Sheet

Bimetal Alu. Sheet

Bimetal Alu. Sheet are constructed with a combination of two metals fixated on one another. High quality raw metal are used to manufacture the sheets with differing grades in accordance to the constituent metals inside the metals. We offer varying dimensions and thickness of Bimetal Sheet that can be used as a support surface between parts of an assembly to reduce the wear and tear.

Alloy Grade Chemical Composition

Technical Standards for Aluminum-based Plate:

• Main grade and their chemical composition of aluminum-based material:(Table-)

• Steel back :adopt carbon structure steel plates with low carbon or the material requested by customers.

• Surface roughness of steel back:Ra≤0.63 µm

• Dimension and allowable deviation (Table-)

Steel Back alloy (Cladding / Bounding)

Bimetal Alu. Sheet

• Material of steel back : we commonly adopt carbon structure steel plates with low carbon ,we can also adopt steel material according customers’ requests.
• Surface roughness of steel back: Ra≤0.63µm
Allowable deviation of thickness : Steel back :±0.04mm Total :±0.03mm
• The metallography microstructure of copper lead alloy must accord to the National Automotive Industry Standards QC/T281-1999.
• Resistance to cutting of bronze layer from steel must be not less than 60MPa.
• Production scope :
Slit form : Thickness : 0.7mm-30.0mm , width :≤240mm
Coil form: Thickness : 1.5mm-4.0mm , width :80-180mm

QC Testing

The sheet was cut into a 15 mm wide specimen in the rolling direction. First bend the specimen to 180° (the bend radius is equal

to the total thickness) and then bend back. During the test, the aluminum alloy and the steel back are bent as one inner layer,

respectively, allowing the sample to break, but the steel back and the aluminum alloy must not be layered.
